When life gives you lemons…

. “Life handed me lemons, so I made lemonade, lemon cake, lemon drops, and I even used the rinds to make lemon art. So the joke is on you, life…”

Emilyann Allen

Making the most out of life’s challenges.

Life is not all roses and rainbows.  In fact, it can be really difficult sometimes. We’d face situations that, most often than not, make us want to lie flat on our faces and pass out. Most times, we want to give up and it’s okay to feel that way. Like, that’s the lemon that life gives, huh?

But you know what? We can’t give up! Like, we’ve come this far so giving up would not be worth it. What we can do though is make the most of any setback we face, that is, making lemonades.

As a side note, this won’t be easy at all. It’ll be hard work. But it’ll guide you to make the most of any challenges you may face.

Let’s dive right in.

  • Think only positive thoughts. The magic of thinking big by David Schwartz is one book I won’t stop talking about any time soon. Big thinkers only think positive thoughts. This is very powerful because when we think positively, we’d be able to see past your current setbacks
  • Look for the silver lining. There’s a silver lining in every cloud, alright. You just have to look for it.  This is where positivity plays a huge role; it helps you see the light at the end of the dark tunnel.
  • Positive affirmations/self-talk. You’re what you tell yourself. Like I said before, we’ve come this far and we won’t be here at all if we were not good enough. Remind yourself through positive self-talk and affirmations that you’re amazing, smart, intelligent, gorgeous…
  • Don’t take no for an answer. So what if this plan fails?; Are you going to accept defeat then? Nope. I’m not saying you should do bad things like hurt people to get what you want. I’m saying that you shouldn’t take no for an answer. Plan A didn’t work? Oh great, the alphabet has more letters so plan B is next. I mean, if this route doesn’t work then there must be another way right? If there’s none then you go out there and make one yourself!

I’d end this article with a quote from Brian Krans:

Don't just exist. Live.
